ABOUT THE
FRIENDS

The Friends of Friendship Park is a non-partisan volunteer coalition of individuals and organizations advocating for enhanced U.S. access to Friendship Park since 2006.

Friendship Park is the historic meeting place overlooking the shores of the Pacific Ocean at the westernmost end of the U.S.- Mexico border where San Diego meets Tijuana by the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Friendship Park is fully accessible and well-utilized on the Mexico side; yet sadly, no U.S. access is currently permitted.

The Friends of Friendship Park believe that Friendship Park holds immense potential to be an internationally recognized asset akin to several binational parks already established on the border between the United States and Canada. We envision a future International Friendship Park as a shining embodiment of the truth that friendship is at the foundation of relations between Mexico and the United States.

We seek realize this vision of enhanced U.S. access through the engagement and advocacy of the peoples of both nations with the belief that the best security either nation can have is fashioned through friendship.
