Friends of Friendship Park and Athenaeum Music & Arts Library invite you to a private reception and preview of the BUILD THAT PARK! exhibition before it debuts to the public throughout the San Diego region.

Conceived as design competition and effort to open Friendship Park to binational access as part of its 50th Anniversary Observance, BUILD THAT PARK! provides a vision for how we may capitalize on this underutilized American asset. Located where San Diego meets Tijuana on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Friendship Park has been open and joyously well-utilized on the Mexico side for many years.

Your private preview event experience begins with beverages and lite bites reception, and includes a screening of the 7-minute short film "Too Long Here" introduced by Rev. John Fanestil, Ph.D., and a walk-thru of the BUILD THAT PARK! exhibit with its creator, James Brown, FAIA.

We hope you will join us to learn more about Friendship Park, its history, and the vision for its future.
