Friendship Park is a binational park located at the western end of the United States-Mexico border, where for generations residents of both countries have been able to meet up in person. While Friendship Park remains fully open, accessible, and joyously well-utilized in Mexico, access to the U.S. side is now restricted by the Department of Homeland Security, who in recent years erected two border walls that divide the two countries.
